BRIEF BIOGRAPHY – DCNS. OLORUNTOBA OLUWATOSIN MERCY (Mercy “T” Praise)

Dcns. Oloruntoba Oluwatosin Mercy, known as Mercy “T” Praise, is a passionate and dynamic gospel music minister whose musical journey began at age six. Raised in a musically inclined family, she was greatly inspired by her mother, a choir mistress. This early exposure led her to join the children’s choir, and later, the adult choir in their home church.

In 2012, she was appointed choir mistress and praise leader at RCCG House of David Zonal Headquarters, Dutse Baupma, FCT Abuja. This role provided a vital platform for her spiritual and musical growth. With the encouragement of her Zonal Pastor, she led the production of the gospel album Joy Overflow in 2014, featuring as lead in the praise medley.

She also became a member of the Treasure House Music Ministry, a youth music group under RCCG, contributing to various recordings and video projects.

In 2017, Mercy “T” Praise officially launched her music ministry with her team. Her impact grew, and she was selected as one of the gospel artists for Hallelujah Nigeria, a national gospel initiative in collaboration with the Aso Villa Chapel and then Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. The program ran on major social media platforms from 2017 to 2023.

In 2023, she began a personal praise initiative titled Sacrifice of Praise, which, by God's grace, held its second edition as of June 2025.

Currently, she serves as the Assistant Coordinator and Praise Team Leader of RCCG FCT Province 8 under Region 45, Abuja. She is also actively involved in the Region 45 and Abuja Family mass choirs.
